I am a resident of Orleans Parish. My background is in the social and behavioral health sciences. Currently I run a wellness center devoted to promoting complimentary and alternative medicine. Our goal is to provide therapeutic services (including education) to at-risk residents of New Orleans.

my name is András Mikó, I'm writing this message on the behalf of Ferenc and István Ivanics, the brothers who form the WorldWalk-Peacetour Team, who are walking around the Earth in the name of peace, brotherhood and friendship. Now they are in Tallahassee, Fl, and they will arrive New Orleans on 5th July. We'd like to arrange a presentation for them about their concept of peace, and about their experiences of walking in Europe, Africa and the USA. There was already a very good presentation in Orlando, Fl (http://worldwalk-peacetour.blogspot.com/2009/06/presentation-in-orlando.html), we planning a similar one, maybe for a bit wider audience. Now we are looking for a good place, to organize it. We don't really know New Orleans, that's why we are looking now for a local contact, a peace activist or an owner of a public place (cafe, library etc.). Please, help us, and please, forward this message to anybody who maybe could help us.
